Nancy Wilson (jazz singer) was born to Olden Wilson as an ironworker in Chillicothe on 20 February 1937. The mother of her child, Lillian Ryan worked as a household servant. Nancy Wilson was only child of six. Nancy was extremely influenced when she was a young girl by the music her dad played and loved at home. She already knew she would be a musician by the time she was 4 years old. She developed her talents by participating in the choir at church. She went to The Big Town, New York in the year 1959. Within one month, she got a gig singing at The Blue Morocco Night Club situated on Boston Road in The Bronx the place where her agent heard her, and she was signed.
