The jazz performer Nancy Wilson a three-time Grammy Award-winner was born on February 20, 1937, in Ohio, Chillicothe. She was the daughter of iron worker Olden Wilson, and former Lillian Ryan who worked as a domestic servant. Nancy Wilson was the youngest born child at the age of 6. Nancy was a child who listened to her dad's records and his enthusiasm for music. As a young girl, she already had the impression of her identity and the things she wanted to be. Nancy recorded her first record on Dot Records while in the band. Cannonball addederley recommended that she relocate to New York for her career, and in 1959 she made the move in The Big Town.
